Abstract
To investigate the effects of Curcumin on proliferation and extracellular matrix secretion of rat hepatic stellate cells in vitro. HSC-T6 were incubated with different concentration of Curcumin for 24 hours. MTT colorimetry was used for assaying proliferation of HSC. Type Ⅰ collage was determined by ELISA. Hyaluronic acid and Laminin were measured by radioimmunoassay. addition of (1~20)μmol/L curcumin into culture medium had no cytotoxicity to HSC, but could significantly inhibi HSC proliferation, and also inhibit Type Ⅰ collage, hyaluronic acid and laminin secretion in different degree. Curcumin can significantly inhibi HSC proliferation and extracellular matrix secretion.
