Value of β_2-m、Alb and IgG in urine in early diagnosis of diabetic nephropathy

To explore the value of β 2-m?Alb and IgG of urine in the early diagnosis of diabetic nephropathy . The authors measured the urine level of β 2-m?Alb and IgG in 39 normal cases and 72 patients with DN, and compared them with BUN and Cr in serum. The β 2-m?Alb and IgG level of patients with DN are (332.76±98.42) ng/mL?(27.37±10.64) μg/mL and (8.57±3.04) μg/mL respectively, and higher than those in normal cases remarkably (the P value is 0.001,0.001,0.01 respectively) , the rate of patients whose urine level is positive are higher than BUN and Cr (the P value is 0.05,0.01,0.05 respectively). The β 2-m levels are higher abnormally in 14 patients whose Alb level is negative . [Conclusion] The detection of urine β 2-m?Alb and IgG are valuable in the early diagnosis of DN; the combined use of these three indexes can elevate the positive rate of DN diagnosis.
