Abstract
Objective To study the treatment effect of azithromycin on mycoplasma pneumonia. Methods We selected 84 cases of mycoplasma pneumonia in our hospital from December 2008 to April 2010 and divided them randomly into two groups:azithromycin group treated with azithromycin and erythromycin group treated with erythromycin, with 2-4 courses of treatment, and the treatment effect of two methods was compared. Results All cases of the two groups were improved after treatment, and the total effective rate was 100.00% in the azithromycin group and that of 90.48% in the erythromycin group(P0.05).Conclusion Azithromycin for mycoplasma pneumonia has a better treatment effect and can be used in the clinical treatment of respiratory diseases in children.
