Evaluation of Curative Effect of Conventional Treatment Combined with Mckenzie Therapy on Lumbar Disc Herniation

Objectives To observe the clinical effect of conventional treatment combined with Mckenzie therapy on lumbar disc herniation and to discuss a better therapy for this disease. Methods one hundred and two patients with lumbar disc herniation were randomly divided into control and treatment groups. I the control group 53 patients were treated by conventional method,and in the treatment group 49 patients were treated by conventional metod and Mckenzie therapy. The lumbar functional assessment index berore and after the treatment and,the recurrence rate a year after treatment were observed in all the patients . Results Score and the improvement index of lumbar vartebra function were significantly higher in the treatment group than those in the control group( P 0. 05). therapeutic time was significantly shorter in the treatment group than that in the control group ( P 0. 05). The recurrence rate was significantly lower in the treatment than that in the control group 1 year after the treatment ( P 0. 01). Conclusion Mckenzie therapy play a significant role in improving the therapeutic effects in patients with lumber disc herniation.
