Abstract
Objective: To determine the distribution of pathogens and their resistance characteristic in urinary infection in order to provide the basis for the clinician to select antibiotics correctly. Methods: Total 410 clinical isolates of cases of urinary tract infection were collected from patients cured in our hospital from Feb.2008 to Feb.2010.The kinds of isolated bacteria and their sensitive rates were analyzed. Results: Among 410 strains Gram-negative bacilli accounted for 54.63%(the most was Escherichia coli 39.76%),Gram-positive cocci 35.85% and Fungi 9.51%.The drug resistance rate of E.coli to ampicillin was 96.20%,the sensitive rate to imipenem was 100.00%,Gram-positive cocci had different resistance to many antibiotics. Conclusion: E.coli is major pathogen of urinary infection,At the same time the ratio of Gram-positive bacteria and fungi show increasing trend. The resistances of most pathogenic bacteria are severe, which is important to select antibiotics correctly.
