Abstract
Schiff base can absorb metal ions of waste water. It has been synthesized by condensation of chitosan with phenylacetaldehyde. The orthogonal design has been employed to study the reaction conditions, including temperature, time,pH and reacting substances. The optimum reaction condition is as follows: n(chitosan's polymer unit)/n(phenylacetaldehyde)= 1∶6,pH=10,reaction time 2.0h,pH value 10,and the reaction temperature 80℃.The yield of Schiff base could reach 90.99% and its structure was determined by IR.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
