Abstract

To compare the effect of zhibituo and simvastation in treating hyperlipemia.Methods:A total of 35 patients with hyperlipemia were treated with zhibituo 1 capsule(0. 24g),2 times/d for 8 weeks.Other 33 pa- tients received simvastatin 20 mg every night for 8 weeks.Results:Both drugs were equally effective in decreasing TC,LDL-C,TG and increasing HDL-C(P0. 05) .The TC、LDL-C、TG respectively decreased 32. 5%,39. 2%, 21%,but HDL-C increased 5. 7% in zhibituo group.The TC、LDL-C、TG、respectively decreased 38. 7%,42. 7%, 30. 2%,but HDL-C increased 8. 1% in simvastatin group.The effective power of TC,TG,HDL-C,TC-HDL/HDL respectively was 90. 4%,59. 4%,55. 2%,92. 7% in zhibituo group,and 91. 4%,67. 3%,44. 5%,93. 4% in simvastatin group,which had no significant difference between two groups(P0. 05) .Adverse reaction of two groups are all mild.Conclusion:Zhibituo is an effective and safe drug in treating hyperlipidemia as well as simvastatin.
