Abstract

A tissue culture system for plant regeneration of common bermudagrass was developed.Using mature seeds as experimental material,explant callus was produced in the dark on MS medium containing 2,4-D 3 mg/L and chitosan 4 g/L.The highest frequencies of inducement was 87.0%.Maintaining the callus in the former conditions and medium,with the 1/2 level of 2,4-D.Then moved the to MS medium to obtain regenerated plantlets,with 6-BA 0.1 mg/L.The highest regeneration frequency was 63.1%,result in the ropy translucency callus.
