On Modern Chinese Overseas Students and the Formation of the Idea of Saving the Nation by Modern Science

The modern Chinese overseas students as a special intellectual community have opened the modern Chinese society's new atmosphere and affected the modern society's various aspects by their thoughts,words and deeds. The Overseas students who transplant the Western science to China completely for the first time,becomes the founder of the Chinese modern science. On the one hand as the spreaders of modern science,they are conducive to the popularization of science in modern China,more importantly,to promote the formation of the idea of Saving the Nation by modern science. Students not only learn subjects in the election focused on science and natural science in order to achieve the idea of national salvation,moreover devote positively to propaganda and the practice of the idea of national salvation ——the setting up of Society and journals. The Society of China in 1915 and Science magazine's founding,marks the formation of scientific ideas for national salvation. Salvation scientific thought in modern China to promote ideological and cultural change and modernization process of China has played an active role.
