Clinical Observation of 30 Cases of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus Combined with Fatty Liver Treated with Jianpi Xiaozhi Decoction

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of jianpi xiaozhi decoction in the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus combined with non-alcoholic fatty liver.Methods The randomized controlled method was adopted to divide 60 cases of type 2 diabetes mellitus combined with non-alcoholic fatty liver into a treatment group and a control group,30 cases in each one.On the basis of the foundational therapy,jianpi xiaozhi decoction was supplemented in the treatment group,and hugan tablets were supplemented in the control group.In 3 months,the liver function,fasting blood glucose(FBG),post-prandial blood glucose(PPBG),blood lipid,fasting serum insulin(FINS),the insulin resistance index(HOMA-IR),insulin secretion indicator,ultrasonic B test and the others were observed for the efficacy assessment.Results The total effective rate in the treatment group with jianpi xiaozhi decoction was higher significantly than that in the control group(P0.01).In the treatment group,the levels of alanine aminotransferase(ALT),aspartate aminotransferase(AST),gamma glutamyl transpeptidase(GGT),triglyceride(TG),serum total cholesterol(T-CH)and very low density lipoprotein(VLDL)were all reduced remarkably as compared with those before treatment(P0.05 or P0.01),and the statistical significant differences presented as compared with the control group(P0.05 or P0.01).In the treatment group,the reducing of FPG,2hPG and HOMA-IR as well as the increasing of HBCI were different significantly in statistics as compared with those before treatment(P0.01),and were superior to the control group(P0.05 or P0.01).There was no change in FINS before and after treatment in each group.The recovery degree in terms of liver imageology in the treatment group was better than that in the control group.Conclusion Jianpi xiaozhi decoction achieves the good efficacy on type 2 diabetes mellitus combined with non-alcoholic fatty liver and deserves to have a further study and application.
