Abstract

Objective To observe the clinical therapeutic effect of different mechanical ventilation models in agencied COPD insulting severe respiratory failure. Methods All of 37 patients with agencied COPD insulting severe respiratory failure were studied and divided into two groups,A group included 18 patients with noninvasive bilevel positive airway pressure(BiPAP) support ventilation combined with draining sputum beneath glottis through nose,B group included 19 patients with sequential invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation, compared the basics of patients before treatment and total mechanical ventilation time, length of stay in hospital time, blood gas analysis, the rate of weaning success. Results Compared with A group, sequential invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation in agencied COPD insulting se vere respiratory failure had significant therapeutic effect in the indexes of blood gas analysis(P 0.05),but there were no significant among total mechanical ventilation time, length of stay in hospital time and the rate of weaning success(P 0.05).Conclusion Two methods of mechanical ventilation may have better effects for patients with COPD insulting severe respiratory failure, but sequential invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation has superiority.
