Explication and GU Hong-ming's English Versions of Confucian Classics

Abstract

From the perspective of explication,a term in corpus-based translation studies,the intralingual explication and pragmatic explication in Gu's English versions of Confucian classics are described and the latter's cause and inappropriateness are focused on so as to cast light on today's English translations of ancient books and records.
