Survey on serum lipids in grown-ups living in Lingwu district

Objective To investigate the levels of serum lipids of grown-ups in Lingwu district,Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region and to provide support to protect people from suffering from serum lipids.Methods City residents in Lingwu district,farmers and workers were surveyed by answering questionias delivered at random,and blood samples were collected meanwhile.Serum concentration of total cholesterol and triglycerides were examined with enzyme method.High-density lipoprotein chotesterol and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol were examined with direct method.The results of abnormal levels of serum lipids were analyzed.Results The rate of the surrey on serum lipids in grown-ups Living in Lingwu district.Is 31.2% of High-density lipoprotein cholesterol which got the first place.The following are serum lipids concentration of total cholesterol 24.5%,trigtycerides 15.1% and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol 4.4% Han are higher than Hui Chinese and more men than women.The prevalence of serum concentration of total cholesterol of males in urban are higher than that of the rural areas with females the opposite.Those in urban have a higher level of serum concentration of total cholesterol and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol than in rural areas with male higher than female.Conclusion Abnormal serum lipids increases with aging in Lingwu district,Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region with more men than women.Men are more easily to suffer from disease of blood and serum lipids.
