Abstract
Research and development on the embedded system has become a current hot spot,and owing to Linux's advantage as a kind of OS in designing the embedded application,it becomes a selection by a few of companies.As a highcapability and low cost RISC mictoprocessor,ARM has already become the most comprehensive embedded processor.This paper introduces the ARM processor and the Linux OS.Combining with the S3C2410 that a designation panel with the 32 bit ARM920T processor,the complete process is analyzed,including hardware architecture,development environment and tools.In particular,the crossing compiled environment and the transplantation of Linux are emphatically analyzed.
