Establishment of cross-development environment about embedded system based on Linux and ARM

Abstract

Cross-developing environment is basis of embeded system based on Linux.The following development process is based on this environment.As a high capability and low cost RISC microprocessor,ARM has already become the most comprehensive embedded processor.This paper introduces the GEC2410 that is a designation panel with the 32 bit ARM920T processor,including hardware architecture,the concept and configure of cross-development environment based on embedded Linux,the use of development tools and the method of making cross-debugger.By use of Vmware Workstation that is installed on Windows operation system,we establish a environment that based on embedded Linux for GEC2410 development panel.
