The Expression and its Clinical Significance of Ki67 and PTEN in Ovarian Serous Tumor

Objective To explore the expression and its clinical significance of Ki67 and PTEN in ovarian borderline serous adenocarcinoma.Methods Immunohistochemical method was used to determine the expression of Ki67 and PTEN in 32 cases of ovarian borderline serous adenocarcinoma and 26 cases of ovarian serous cystadenocarcinoma,compare with l0 cases of ovarian serous cystadenoma and 11 cases of normal ovarian tissues.Results The positive expression rates of Ki67and PTEN in ovarian borderline serous adenocarcinoma were 65.6%,93.8%,respectively and in ovarian serous cystadenoma were 60.0%,100.0%.there was no significant difference between ovarian borderline serous adenocarcinoma and ovarian serous cystadenoma(P0.05) However there was significant between ovarian borderline serous adenocarcinoma and ovarian serous cystadenocarcinoma(P0.05).In ovarian borderline serous adenocarcinoma.the positive expression of PTEN in I-Ⅱstage were significantly higher than Ⅲ stage(P0.05).but the positive expression of Ki67 in Ⅰ-Ⅱstage were no significantly lower than Ⅲ stage(P0.05).Conclusion Ki67 and PTEN may be associated with the occurrence and development of ovarian borderline serous adenocarcinoma and then played an important role in it.As the markers of ovarian borderline serous adenocarcinoma,associated with determination of Ki67 and PTEN will be valuable to estimate the prognosis.
