Abstract
Objective Study on the clinical effect of simvastatin in the treatment of cerebral thrombosis to provide better guidance for the clinical medicine of cerebral thrombosis. Methods 84 patients with cerebral thrombosis treated in our hospital from May 2005 to April 3, 2008 are divided into simvastatin treatment group(42 cases) and control group(42 cases) randomly. Two groups of patients are given treatment of conventional bed rest, pressure regulation and thrombolysis and the like to stabilize the disease, patients in the treatment group are treated with oral simvastatin and aspirin on the above basis, while patients in the control group are treated with aspirin only. Compare the tunica media thickness(IMT) inside the atheromatous plaque before the treatment and 3, 6、9 after the treatment of the patients of two groups, compare the changes of TG、TC、HDL-C、LDL-C before the treatment and 9 months after the treatment of the patients of two groups, and determine the clinical effect of simvastatin in the treatment of cerebral thrombosis on the basis of the above indicators. Results the IMT thickness of patients in the treatment group decreases 6 months after the treatment, while that of patients in the control group increases(P0.05); TC, LDL-C, TG of patients are reduced after been treated for 9 months, HDL-C is no big difference compared with that before the treatment(P0.05). Conclusion Simvastatin not only has a significant effect on retarding atherosclerosis, but also reduces blood lipid, is a good drug for the treatment of cerebral thrombosis, and is recommended to be used in all hospitals.
