Clinical effect of acupuncture treatment on treating hemiplegia limb function in stroke patients

Objective To observe the clinical effect on treating hemiplegia limb function in stroke patients by acupuncture. Methods From January 2005 to June 2013,a total of 600 patients treated in our department were divided into treatment group and control group randomly,300 cases in each group, the control group were treated with conventional medical while the treatment group patients received acupuncture treatment on the basis of the control group. The clinical curative effect, daily life ability,quality of life,limb function recovery were compared between two groups. Results The total effective rate of treatment group was 98.3%,significantly higher than the 87.7% in the control group, after treatment,LSIA,QLI scores of the treatment group were significantly higher than the control group, daily life ability scores(MBI)of treatment group were(85.32±6.57),significantly higher than the control group(64.52±7.63), the Fugl- Meyer scores of treatment group were(72.27±8.26),significantly higher than the control group(50.39±8.06), the difference between the two groups had statistical significance(P all 0.05). Conclusion Acupuncture therapy can promote stroke patients with hemiplegia limb function recovery,can improve the ability and the quality of life of the patient's life,the effect is exact and worthy of being widely applied in clinic.
