The New Understanding of Oil and Gas Exploration in the East of South China Sea

A new breakthrough and new knowledge were achieved in oil and gas exploration in Pearl-river Mouth Basin in the east of South China Sea,such as fracture and stratigraphic and lithologic pinch-out and fault traps,the breakthrough in Paleogene System,low exploration level,high potential of oil exploration,the features of oil in the north and gas in the south,also continuous breakthrough in the forbidden zones was realized in oil and gas exploration.These breakthroughs and new knowledge in oil and gas exploration result in the leaping oil development in the east of South China Sea,it obtains remarkable economic and social benefits.
