Abstract

Since the reform and opening-up,the policy of Chinese sports has experienced four periods: competitive sports priority stage,reforming stage,preparing for the Beijing Olympics,and comprehensive development stage.The evolution shows four characteristics.They are from competitive sports priority to the development of public sports and competitive sports,from only the government undertakes sports to both the government and the community undertake sports,from pay attention to political value to pay attention to economic value and humanistic value,and from the social standard tool-theory to the people-oriented ontology.
