Abstract
This paper deeply explored the core idea evolution of four formal approved plans of green space system planning of Shanghai in 1983,1994,2002 and 2012,and compared the changes in planning concept,region range,elements expansion,and structure evolution.The paper proved the systematic and organic evolution process from urban green space layout to urban green space system,and then to city region green space and forest system,finally to urban ecological network system,which demonstrated its scientific,strategic,operational and leading characteristics.This process reflects that evolution of people's understanding is the most fundamental factor of green space system evolution.
