Effect of Chinese and Western Medicine Combined with Immunomodulation on Diabetes with Pulmonary Tuberculosis

Abstract

objective To investigate the immune function,sputum conversion rate,closure rate of pore and the clinical efficacy of Chinese and western medicine combined with immunomodulation on diabetes with pulmonary tuberculosis(DPT).Methods Eighty-seven cases of DPT were randomly divided into treatment group(43 cases)and control group(44 cases).The control group received diet control,oral antidiabetic drug and the 2S(E)HRZ/4H3R3 chemotherapy regimen.The treatment group was given tuberculosis pills and immunomodifier on the base of the control group.After 2-and 6-month treatment in hospital,the sputum conversion rate,closure rate of pore,T lymphocyte subgroups and the clinical efficacy were analyzed.Results After therapy,CD8 was increased and CD4and CD4/CD8 were decreased remarkably in the treatment group compared with the control group(P0.05).After 2-month therapy,the sputum conversion rates of the two groups were 61.36% and 81.40%,respectively.After 6-month therapy,the sputum conversion rates of the two groups were 75.00%and 93.02%,respectively,with a significant difference between the two groups(P0.05)and no significant difference in the closure rates of pore between the two groups(P0.05).When treatment was finished,the total effective rates of the two groups were 1.82% and 95.35% respectively,with a significant difference between the two groups(P0.05).Conclusion The therapy regimen(Chinese and western medicine combined with immunomodulation)shows an obvious effect on DPT,worthy to be popularized.
