Abstract
Water-saving irrigation technology is to make full use of natural precipitation and soil water storage to reduce irrigation water while ensuring stability or an increase in crop yields. In this article, the author, taking Heilongjiang reclamation area as an example, analyzes the present situation of water-saving irrigation in China and introduces some applied techniques that are popular to use in the typical agriculture regions of China. On the last part of this paper, the future expectations in this field are offered in terms of agricultural policy supports, irrigation technologies research and practice of field managements.
