Clinical and experimental study of on the treatment of diabetic peripheral neuropathy with Yishen Huoxue decoction

Abstract

Objective To observe the effect of Yishen Huoxue decoction on the treatment of diabetic peripheral neuropathy.Method 65 patients with diabetic peripheral neuropathy were divided into two groups.34 patients in treatment group were treated by Yishen Huoxue decoction;31 patients in control group were treated by Fursultiamine.Hemorheology,fasting blood glucose,TC,TG,HDLC and electromyography (EMG) were observed before and after treatment in both groups.Result The total effective rate in treatment group (94.12%) was higher than that in control group (70.97%, P0.05), improvement of fasting blood glucose,blood lipid,TC,TG,HDLC,RBC aggregation and EMG NCV in treatment group were superior to that in control group (P0.05,P0.01).Conclusion Yishen Huoxue decoction can effective treat diabetic peripheral neuropathy.
