Abstract
Favorable drainage conditions play an important role in clayey ground treatment of high degree of saturation with dynamic consolidation; it can accelerate the dissipation of excess pore water pressure and the consolidation. This paper discusses the characteristics and application range of several horizontal and vertical drainage methods combined with mechanism of dynamic consolidation, such as sand well and hardpan. The analysis of effect of post- dynamic consolidation of a special construction proves that treatment of natural clay foundation under special geological structure is practical.
