Abstract
Objective:To investigate the effects of protein powder on mouse immune functions. Methods:Protein powder was administered to mice by oral gavage at 1.67~5.00 g/kgBW for 30 days. The delayed type hypersensitivity, splenic lymphocyte tranformation efficiency induced by Con A,serum antihemolysin, peritoneal macrophage phagocytizing chicken red blood cell, carbon clearance,NK activity were determined. Results:Compared with the control group, protein powder could improve significantly delayed type hypersensitivity reaction induced by dinitrofluorobenzen(DNFB) and the hemolysin level in serum, enhance the peritoneal macrophage phagocytizing chicken red blood cell, the activity of NK cells and the carbon clearance index. Conclusion:Protein powder can enhance the immune function of normal mice through cellular immune function, humoral immune function,monocaryon-macrophage function and NK activity.
