The intervention study about aspirin and atorvastatin combination therapy for diabetes atherosclerosis

Objective:To explore the clinical curative effect about aspirin and atorvastatin in the treatment of diabetes atherosclerosis.Methods:From September 2007 to September 2011,150 elderly patients with diabetes atherosclerosis were randomly divided into the treatment group(n=75) and the control group(n=75),the control group patients used proprietary Chinese medicine to control blood sugar,the treatment group patients used aspirin and atorvastatin on the basis of the control group patients,treatment,all of them were followed up for one year,compared with blood lipid total cholesterol(TC),triglycerides(TG),and low-density lipoprotein(LDL) change of two groups patients.Results:TC,TG,LDL of treatment group patients was obviously lower than the control group,the two groups of patients had statistically significant difference(P0.05).Conclusion:Aspirin and atorvastatin can treat diabetes atherosclerosis,can reduce the blood fat,can stabilize atheromatous plaque,and the results are satisfactory worth in clinical promotion.
