Abstract
Objective To explore the correlation factors of hyperuricemia with type 2 diabetes mellitus in elderly patients. Methods 1411 elderly cadres were included.Blood glucose(FBG,PBG),creatinin(Cr),cholesterol(CHO),triglyceride(TG),blood pressure(SBP,DBP),body mass indes(BMI),waist hip ratio(WHR),fasting serum insulin(FINS) and uric acid(UA) were measured. Results Eldly patients with hyperuricemia in type 2 diabetes had higher BMI,WHR,DBP,TG,FINS,HOMA-IR and Cr than those with normal serum uric acid. The hyperuricemia group had higher proportion of metablic syndrome and its related diseases, such as diabetes mellitus, obesity and insulin resistance than the normal-uricemia group.Logistic regression analysis results suggested that DBP,TG,FINS,HOMA-IR and Cr were independent risk factors of hyperuricemia in eldly type 2 diabetes. Conclusions DBP,TG,FINS,HOMA-IR and Cr were more related to hyperuricemia in eldly type 2 diabetes.
