Abstract

Objective:To study the influence of the apolipoprotein on the occurrence of coronary heart disease(CHD).Methods:We studied 100 patients and 100 control subjects without symptoms and sign of CHD.Polymorphism of apolipoprotein E alleles were measured by polymerase chain reaction(PCR),Hhal anzyme digestion and polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. Results:There were significant difference in gene frequency of ApoE between CHD and control group;TC、TG、ApoE、LP(a) level of CHD group were higher than control( P 0 05),HDL、ApoA level of CHD group were lower than control when compared between E43 and E3/3,HDL、ApoA level were lower in CHD group than control when compared between E2/3、E3/2,the frequency of E 2、E 3、E 4 alleles were separately 0 285,0 39,0 216 in CHD group and 0 855,0 095,0 005 in control group( P 0 05).Conclusion:Apolipoprotein E gene polymorphism affects serum TC,LDL C and LP(a) levels in CHD of old men.E4 allele is a risk factor in CHD.
