Clinical Observation of "Anluo Huaxian Pill" in Treating Hepatic Fibrosis Following Chronic Hepatitis B

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of Anluo Huaxian Pill in the treatment of hepatic fibrosis following chronic hepatitis B.Methods 134 subjects were randomized into two groups: treatment group in which 70 cases were treated with Anluo Huaxian Pill and control group in which 64 cases were treated with Huganning Tablet and Compound Glycyrrhizin Tablet,both with a course of three months.Results In the treatment group,clinical symptoms and signs and liver functions were obviously improved,and the contents and abnormality rate of hyaluronic acid(HA) were reduced(P0.01),while in the control group,these changes were insignificant,but with striking differences between the two groups(P0.01).After treatment,the contents and abnormality rate of collagen Ⅲ were decreased in both groups(P0.01,P0.05),with no difference between the two groups;the contents and abnormality rate of collagen Ⅳ were decreased in both groups(P0.01,P0.05),with more decrease in the treatment group than in the control group(P0.01,P0.05).Conclusion Anluo Huaxian Pill is effective to protect the liver and prevent the progress of hepatic fibrosis following chronic hepatitis B.
