During the Liberation War, the Communist Party of China made certain practical policies towards nationalities in accordance with the new revolutionary situation with emphasis on regional autonomy of minority nationalities, forming the preliminary theoretical system of policies towards nationalities with national equality and national liberation as the core.The practice of these policies fully mobilized the masses and assured the success of new democratic revolution.
