Abstract
During the new-democratic revolution,the Communist party of China made long and great efforts to tackle ethnic problems,from emphasis on national self-determination right and federal system early to multiple ethnic theory in the war of resistance against Japan,and to regional autonomy of minority nationalities in the liberation war.The CPC's policies towards nationalities,according to historicals ituation,had developed and advanced,and the practice of these policies fully embodied the CPC's theoretical character of keeping pace with times.
