Objective: To study the level of self-management behaviors and quality of life among patients with coronary heart disease in community and explore the relationship between the two. Methods: 211 patients with coronary heart disease were selected from communities of Xi'an city, and they were assessed by coronary artery disease self-management scale and SF-36.Results: The score of CSMS of patients with coronary heart disease was(76.51 ± 13.64) and the score of quality of life was(99.35 ± 9.59) in communities in Xi'an city. There were positive correlations between self-management behaviors of coronary heart disease and total level of their quality of life(r = 0.365,P 0.05).Conclusion: The level of self-management behavior and quality of life in patients with coronary heart disease in communities is poor.Various methods should be adopted to improve the patients' self-management behaviors so that their quality of life can be improved.
