Abstract
Objective To explore a modified Methods for correction of epicanthus, and simultaneous correction of double-upper-eyelid.Methods Uses the improved Z-platsty,the incision and double-lid incision is connected and the dystopia of ocular orieular muscle of inner canthus is cut-off.Results The 46 cases which mild or moderate epicanthus without upper eyelid fold, were treated with this techigue and lingterrm follow-ups above 3 months were made. The 31 cases were given the follow-ups.The appearance of large-opened eyes was produced by lengthening the palpebual fissuse. The ep- ieanthus was corrected completely or mostly. Conclusion This is a simple and effective procedure with inconspicuous postoperative scar and natural double-upper lids can be widely used.
