Nursing Intervention Early on Elderly Patients with Dysphagia Owing to Acute Stroke

Abstract
Objective To observe the effect of the nursing intervention on elderly patients with the dysphagia owing to acute stroke.Methods 65 elderly patients with dysphagia owing to acute stroke were divided into nursing group and control group randomly.The patients from nursing group not only received conventional therapy,but also obtained nursing intervention in early stage.The extent of dysphagia was compared between two groups on 30th day after onset.Results The extend of dysphagia in those patients from nursing intervention group was improved significantly compares to those from control group(P0.01).Conclusions The implementation of nursing intervention can alleviate the dysphagia state in elderly patients with the stroke,thereby,improve these patients' quality of life.
