Abstract
Objective Studies on the method which was used to prepare Indomethacin microcapsule using chitosan and Gum-arabic as the wall materials. Methods The orthogonal experimental design adopting the standard of drug encapsulation was applied to optimize the preparation procedure of the microcapsules by the complex coacervation method. Results The result show that C(chitosan)=0.4%, pH=3.0, v=200 r/min, T=60 ℃ were the best technology. The analysis of ultrared and ultraviolet absorption spectrum indicate that covalent combination was taken place between indomethacin and chitosan. Conclusion The 0.4% chitosan under appropriate conditions may fabricated a kind of sustained release micro capsules of ibuprofen-chitosan.
