Abstract

EFL grammar teaching principles in middle schools are discussed from the cognitive grammar perspective in this paper.Cognitive grammar emphasizes the paring of form and meaning or function.It proposes the basic principle of usage-based grammar teaching,emphasizing the creation of grammar teaching contexts,the Abstraction and generalization of language use,the combination of grammatical form and meaning or function and the exploration of grammar motivations.
