Seeing English Grammar Teaching from the Perspective of Systemic-Functional Grammar

Abstract

Grammar teaching of College English is an important part of College English teaching.Seen from the perspective of systemic-functional grammar,Ideational function,interpersonal function and textual function of systemic-functional grammar offers a good perspective to make an analysis of the fundamental quality of language and the purpose of learning.In this paper,a multi-level teaching method in the context is proposed,which gives a new life to traditional grammar teaching.Grammar is divided into regular and irregular phenomena and modern grammar teaching is differentiated from traditional translation approach.
