Abstract
Influence of different heat treatment process on metallographic microstructure of TC4 titanium alloy was investigated through metallographic observation,mechanical property and instrumented impacting test.The results showed that the microstructure of TC4 alloy after solid solution and aging was consisted of theβmatrix and precipitation of theα-phase.High performance was obtained by the lamellarβ-phase andα-phase structure of a small needle plexiform.ESEM analysis of the fracture showed that the fracture characteristics was dimple transgranular toughness fracture.
