Abstract
OBJECTIVE To investigate the distribution and drug resistance of Staphylococci isolated from various clinical specimens in the hospital so as to guide the clinical medication.METHODS The distribution and drug resistance of 216strains of Staphylococci isolated from clinical specimens in the hospital from Jan to Nov,2011 were analyzed statistically.RESULTS Totally 112strains of Staphylococcus aureus were isolated from the clinical specimens with the detection rate of 51.8%,including 70strains of MRSA(62.5%).The detection rate of the coagulase-negative Staphylococci was 48.1%(104strains),including 58strains of MRCNS(55.8%).The drug susceptibility testing results showed that the detection rates of both MRSA and MRCNS were high, the strains were highly drug resistant, the MRSA and MRCNS strains were 100.0%sensitive to vancomycin and teicoplanin, the drug susceptibility rate of MRSA to sulfamethoxazole/trimethoprim was 70.0%,31.4%to rifampicin, and the drug resistance rates to other antibiotics were higher than 85.0%.The drug susceptibility rates of the MRCNS to rifampicin, levofloxacin and tobramycin were 75.9%,58.6%and 55.2%,respectively,and the drug resistance rates to other antibiotics were over 70.0%.The drug resistance rates of the methicillin-resistant Staphylococci to penicillin, clindamycin, and erythromycin varied from 56.5% to 90.5%,and the drug resistance rates to other antibiotics were low.CONCLUSIONThe Staphylococci isolated from different specimens vary in the distribution and the drug resistance, thus the clinicians should use antibiotics based on the results of the drug susceptibility testing.
