Translation of Metaphor from the Cultural Cognitive Perspective

In traditional linguistics,metaphor is regarded as a rhetoric form,a method of modifying language,therefore it is the object of study in rhetoric,literature,and stylistics.However,in the perspective of cognitive linguistics and psycho-linguistics,metaphor is a very useful and effective tool of understanding the Abstract concept,which is not noly about linguistics,more importantly.It is cognitive and conceptual.The paper probes into metaphor from the cultural cognitive perspective and divide it into common metaphor and special metaphor.It also proposes different methods for metaphor translation in accordance to different situations so as to enhance the cultural pragmatic value of metaphor translation.
