Abstract
Objective To study anterior AnglesⅡ~1 malocclusion with mouth-breathing cases and determine the timing and effects of treatment. Methods Twenty-six patients with AnglesⅡ~1 malocclusion of typical mouth breathing were treated by RME of splint and Tip-Edge technology. The cephalometric analysis was carried out. Results The values of the early permanent dentition group in SNB,Y-axis,SN-MP and FH-MP decreased by 2.880,1.740,1.480 and 2.230.S-Go increased by 3.21 mm.They had statistical differences between the early permanent dentition and late permanent dentition group. But the values of the late permanent dentition group in U1-SN were less than those of the early permanent dentition group(P0.05).Conclusion Earlier permanent dentition treatment was beneficial, because it could control vertical growth of the maxilla and mandible.
