Effects of needle knife relaxing therapy on serum IL-6、IL-10 and TNF-α of severe shoulder periarthritis

Abstract

Objective To investigate the mechanism of needle knife relaxing therapy for severe shoulder periarthritis from the change of serum IL-6、IL-10 and TNF-α.Methods 60 patients were recruited and randomly allocated into needle knife group(n=30) and pain-point injection group(n=30),before and after the treatment,the serum level of IL-6、IL-10 and TNF-α were measured with enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA)and VAS score were observed.Results After the treatment,there were significant decrease of VAS score and the serum level of IL-6、IL-10 and TNF-α in the needle knife group than in the pain-point injection group(P0.01).Conclusion By relaxing the local contracted adhesive soft tissue,the needle knife can reduce the serum level of IL-6、IL-10、TNF-α,and then relive tension pain in the patients with severe shoulder periarthritis.
