Change of dressing of wounds after incision and drainage of deep abscess

Abstract
Objective:To investigate the efficacy of MEBO gauze in the treatment of wounds after incision and drainage of deep abscess.Method:62 patients with wounds after incision and drainage of deep abscess were divided into 2 groups.Patients in one group were treated with MEBO gauze and in the other group treated with Vaseline gauze.A compari- son of the efficacy of the 2 groups was made.Result:In MEBO group,the average wound healing time was 9.5±2.7 days and in Vaseline group 12.2±3.6 days.The difference between the 2 groups was very significant (P＜0.01).Conclusion: MEBO gauze is very efficacious in treating wounds after incision and drainage of deep abscess.The treating course is short. It is the drug of first choice.
