Abstract
Objective:To investigate the prevalence of hypertension in the aldult residents of shijingshan district,Beijing,and provide the methods for prevention of hypertension.Methods: A cluster stratified sampling of cross-sectional method was adopted to select the residents aged over 18 years.Questionnaire survey and blood pressure tests were conducted to investigate the incidence of hypertension.Results: The prevalence rate of hypertension on average was 34.5%.The prevalence rate for male and female were 41.6% and 29.5% respectively.The awareness,treatment and control rates were 63.6%,52.7%,and 21.2% respectively.Conclusion: The prevalence of hypertension is very high in this area.Taking measures to control the hypertension in this area is very necessary.
