Research on negative transfer of mother tongue in foreign language teaching in colleges and universities

The negative transfer of mother tongue has been an unavoidable phenomenon in college foreign language teaching. The negative effects of the native language on the college non-English majored students' foreign language learning process are researched in order to remove the confusion brought to the foreign language teacher and students by the negative transfer. The concrete solving strategies are proposed through the practice of foreign language teaching aimed at reducing the negative effects and promoting the quality of the college foreign language teaching.
