Abstract

The genetic diversity of 21 maize germplasms in Guizhou was analyzed by Simple Sequence Repeat Markers(SSRs) to build high quality finger-print of maize germplasms and provide basis for apolegamy of good cross combination at the molecular level. The results showed that tweenty primers with high polymorphisms were selected among the 100 SSR primers.Total 97 alleles were identified, and the average numbers of alleles per SSR locus were 4.85 in these lines with a range from 2 to 11.Polymorphism information content(PIC) values varied from 0.19 to 0.78 with an average of 0.53.The clustering analysis by UPGMA revealed that the genetic distance among the tested lines was 0.22~0.63 and its mean value was 0.43.
