Abstract

120 SSR primers were used to study the genetic diversity of 12 maize inbred lines to provide the theoretical basis and reference for finger-print construction of fine maize germ plasm resources and rational utilization of maize inbred lines. The results showed that there were 52 pairs of polymorphic primers and 201 alleles were detected. The numbers of alleles per primer was 2~11 with an average of 3.87.The polymorphism information content(PIC) ranged from 0.12 to 0.78 with an average of 0.45.UPGMA cluster analysis showed that 12 maize resources could be classified into four groups where genetic distance was 0.60,the results were consistent with their pedigree analysis.
