Abstract
Objective:To evaluate the therapeutic efficacies of inhaled Formoterol/budesonide and oral montelukast alone or combined use of them in the treatment of adult cough variant asthma.Methods:42 adult patients with cough variant asthma were randomly divided into two groups:observation group 22 cases(inhaled Formoterol/budesonide and oral montelukast;control group 20 cases(oral montelukast alone),Patients in every group received relevant medicine for 4 weeks, respectively. All patients'cough symptom scores and VAS were recorded before and 2、4 weeks later after treatment. Results:The cough symptom scores and VAS of observation group were decreased obviously than that of control group at 2 weeks(P0.05)and 4 weeks(P0.001)after treatment. Conclusion:These data indicate that inhaled Formoterol/budesonide and oral montelukast combination therapy improves cough symptoms more rapidly than oral montelukast therapy alone.
