Abstract

Objective To investigate the efficacy of inhaled budesonide/formoterol(symbicort)combined with oral montelukast(singulair)in the treatment of patients with cough variation asthma. Methods 89 cases with cough variation asthma were randomly divided into three groups. The cases of treatment group were treated by inhaled budesonide/formoterol in addition to oral montelukast. The cases of control groups receive budesonide/formoterol or montelukast. Results After treatment, clinical symptom score and pulmonary function of the three groups were all improved.Compared with control groups the symptom score and pulmonary function of the treatment group are statistically different after treatment. Conclusions The improvement of symptom score and pulmonary function appears more obvisouly in treatment of cough variation asthma by inhaled budesonide/formoterol plus montelukast by using only one.
